2010 Rosé Méthode Traditionelle

2010 Rosé Méthode Traditionelle

Our 2010 Rosé Méthode Traditionelle is believed to be the only 100% Waiheke grown, bottle fermented sparkling wine in existence right now, so this can truly be described as a unique product!  The wine is a delicate salmon pink colour, and displays a lively mousse of very fine bubbles in the glass. Made in a drier style, this unique cuvée is equally suitable for pairing with food or simply to enjoy on its own.

Our final blend...

  • Chardonnay (80%)
  • Cabernet Sauvignon (20%)

Alcohol by volume 13.8%

Detailed Tasting Notes
A daring varietal blend combining Chardonnay and, unconventionally, Cabernet Sauvignon grown on our own estate. The sweetness level of this wine is classified as BRUT, with approximately 6g/L of residual sugar perfectly balancing the gentle acidity and fresh fruit flavours. The wine went through tirage in August 2010, then spent 15 months on lees before disgorgement in November 2011.
