It’s no wonder that Gemma gave up driving dump truck in the mines, because you can notice her passion for wines!

As she walks around bringing delicious food and wine to our guests in the dining room, this Scot is at home. If Fiona hadn’t followed her passion for hospitality, she might be working in one of her childhood dream jobs as a vet or an actress. Lucky for us, Fiona loves hospitality! We are happy to have her as part of the Peacock Sky team, with her passion for customer service!
When not working as Office Manager or entertaining our guests, you might find Fiona exploring different restaurants and bars on Waiheke Island. And she definitely has heard all about them, because she has friends from home already living on the island, as well as a friend back in Glasgow who used to work at Peacock Sky!

Since Nacho was a child, his dream was to become a chef. His dream was inspired by his Italian roots and especially by his mother and grandmother. When Nacho heard about a job opportunity at Peacock Sky, he said yes in a second! Now he’s happy to lead the team as Head Chef, and having fun with a “beautiful work group”.
Nacho’s plans for the future include spending more time in New Zealand before traveling and working in kitchens across the world. Not forgetting his passion for soccer! You can find this Argentinian in the field playing soccer or cheering for his favourite team, Boca Juniors.

If Anais hadn’t followed her passion for food, she might have become an astronaut. From delicious steaks to beautiful desserts, there’s nothing that this “petite Frenchy” can’t assist our Head Chef with. It’s no wonder that Anais’s plans for the future include having her own restaurant!
When not creating delicious food, you can find Anais walking at the beach or hiking around the Waiheke Island. You could say appreciating nature is one of Anais’s favourite things…. Right after cooking of course!

When Martin joined our team, he started as a dishwasher. In a short time, this Argentinian proved to be multi-skilled and that’s why he is now part of Peacock Sky’s kitchen team, bringing his knowledge of Argentinian and Italian food to New Zealand.
Martin is keen on soccer so you can find him out playing soccer or walking on the beach. He also loves dancing, so you might even see him rocking the dance floor Sunday nights at Malones, enjoying some Latina rhythms.
And what does Martin recommend for people having lunch at Peacock Sky? Because he doesn’t drink alcohol at all, he recommends a cold cup of milk enjoyed with some Signature criss-cut Westies.
When Hanna was looking at Peacock Sky Vineyard’s website and found out that we were looking for employees, she didn’t hesitate to apply. Now you can find Hanna doing tastings and sharing her knowledge of wine at Peacock Sky Vineyard. It’s no wonder that Hanna didn’t end up becoming an astrophysicist, because she can talk about wines all day long!
When not enjoying long walks or doing yoga, you can find Hanna studying. If not something wine- related, it might be a new language. It’s not a surprise that her future plans involve more studies and writing a book!

As he makes sure everyone is participating Peacock Sky Vineyard’s activity safely, this English man is in his element. When Russel saw that Peacock Sky Vineyard was looking for a person to host their activity, he applied immediately. Now he’s happy hosting activities, helping everyone else with their duties and having fun with a “small but inclusive team”.
When not hosting activities, you might find Russel doing paddle boarding or just relaxing at the beach. In the future we might see him as a tour guide traveling around the world!

And that’s what he loves about Peacock Sky; the versatility of the job and chance to learn new things about wine.

When Virginia was looking at vineyards to work on Waiheke; she found out that we were looking for new employees. Now you can find her serving delicious food and wine, as well as enjoying the family atmosphere of Peacock Sky Vineyard.
When not on a long hike or meeting new people, you can find Virginia working on some of her childhood dreams of designing big buildings and writing a book, all whilst traveling around the world. Maybe one day we will have a chance to admire a new “Palacio Barolo” designed by Virginia!
