Here at Peacock Sky Vineyard, most of our people come from somewhere else, looking for some place inspiring to settle for a time and continue on their life’s learning path. We invest in our chefs, wine tasters, servers, gardeners, and cleaners who then bring their love and their life’s passions to us.
When this gem, from Australia, found out about job opportunity in Peacock Sky Vineyard, she didn’t hesitate to apply. Now you’ll find her managing our Cellar Door and doing tastings. It’s no wonder that Gemma gave up driving dump truck in the mines, because anyone doing one of her tastings will be able to see her passion for wine!
When not hiking or kayaking, you can find Gemma spending her free time visiting other wineries. It’s no surprise that her future plans are located with vineyards and wine making. Maybe one day we will see her making wines for Peacock Sky!
And what would this wine enthusiast recommend for guests coming to Peacock Sky Vineyard? A glass of 2013 Le Cote de la Colline, our left bank Bordeaux style wine. Her favourite!
As she welcomes guests to Peacock Sky, this Scot definitely feels at home. If Fiona hadn’t followed her passion for hospitality, she might be working in one of her childhood dream jobs as a vet or an actress. Luckily for us, Fiona loves hospitality! We are happy to have her as part of the Peacock Sky team, with her passion for customer service!
When not working as our Office Manager, or looking after our guests in the tasting room and restaurant, you might find Fiona exploring different restaurants and bars on Waiheke Island. Turns out she already had some top tips from a friend back in Glasgow who is part of the Peacock Sky Staff Alumni!
And what would Fiona recommend for guests coming to Peacock Sky to have for lunch? Her favourite combo is a delicious platter with our 2014 Reserve Blanc de Noirs to share with a group of friends.

We’re looking for an engaging, cheerful supervisor who has a passion for the food they’re serving. Our busy hilltop restaurant needs staff who can think quickly, work hard under pressure and prioritize tasks, all whilst remaining calm, cool and collected.
Executive Chef and Owner, Connie Festa’s Italian heritage means that the food at Peacock Sky is just as important as the amazing wine that we serve. Each dish is carefully plated and explained to our guests who come from all over the world every year to while away the afternoon in our picturesque vineyard restaurant.
